Aloe is a type of succulent plant. The most widely spread species is Aloe Vera. Succulent plants, such as aloe, store water in their enlarged leaves or roots. This allows them to survive in arid environments. Aloe is a very commonly used type of plant and can be used both externally and internally on humans as a so called alternative medicine. After some recent researches, academic specialists has discovered aloe as a cancer cure. Some of aloe species are quite decorative and are popular among collectors of succulents.​
